Privacy Policy

Overview
Corstar Communications LLC ("Corstar," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website at corstar.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our site or contact us, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. We do not sell personal information to third parties.
Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways:
- Information you provide directly — when you fill out a contact form, send an email, or call us. This may include your name, company name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message.
- Information you provide through the appointment scheduler — if you choose to load and use the booking calendar on our consultation page, the details you enter there (such as your name, email address, and the time you select) go to Microsoft, which operates the scheduler, and reach us through that service.
- Information collected automatically — when you visit our website, standard server log data such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URL may be recorded by our hosting provider for delivery and security purposes. If you allow analytics, we also use Google Analytics (see below).
Who Processes Information for Us
We keep the number of third parties involved deliberately small. These are the ones that can receive information connected with this website:
- Web3Forms — delivers our contact form submissions to us by email. It is contacted only at the moment you press Send.
- Microsoft — operates the Microsoft Bookings appointment scheduler, which is loaded only when you allow it or explicitly ask for it.
- Google — provides Google Analytics, which is loaded only if you allow analytics.
- Our hosting provider — this site is currently published through GitHub Pages, which serves the pages and keeps operational and security logs.
The typefaces used on this site are served from our own domain, so viewing a page does not send a request to a font provider.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising or targeted advertising. We run no advertising, retargeting, or profiling technology on this site.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to inquiries and provide the services you request.
- To follow up on consultations, proposals, or support requests.
- To improve our website content and user experience.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your contact information to send unsolicited marketing emails beyond direct follow-up on your inquiry.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our site. It reports on page views, session duration, and traffic sources, and it sets cookies to tell repeat visits apart. We use it in aggregate to improve the site, and we do not use it to identify individual visitors.
Google Analytics does not run unless you allow it. The Google Analytics script is not present in our pages by default — it is loaded only after you choose to allow analytics, so if you decline, or simply ignore the cookie banner, no request is made to Google and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of any page. Turning analytics off stops further collection and clears the Google Analytics cookies from your browser; it cannot undo collection that already took place.
You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Cookies
We use one piece of necessary browser storage to remember the choice you make about cookies, and no optional cookies at all until you allow them. Our Cookie Policy lists exactly what is stored, by whom, for what purpose, and for how long, and explains how to accept, reject, or withdraw your choice.
You can also control cookies through your browser preferences. Declining or clearing them will not affect your ability to read the site or use our contact forms.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information you send us, including serving this website over an encrypted connection and limiting access to enquiry correspondence to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
Data Retention
We retain contact form submissions and email correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law. In practice that means we keep an enquiry while we are responding to it and for as long as the resulting business relationship or a legitimate follow-up interest continues, after which it is deleted or archived. You may request deletion of your information at any time by contacting us.
Where We Operate
Corstar is based in Hawthorne, New York, and serves businesses in the United States — primarily New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. This website and our services are directed at United States businesses. We do not offer our services to, or direct this website at, residents of the European Union or the United Kingdom.
Information collected through this site is processed and stored in the United States, by us and by the United States service providers listed above.
Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party sites (such as scheduling tools or partner resources). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.
Children's Privacy
Our services are directed at businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 17 years of age.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your information.
- Opt out of any marketing communications.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information below. We will ask for enough detail to locate your information and to be reasonably satisfied of who you are, and we will not treat you differently for making a request.
Some states, including New York, give residents specific privacy rights. Because we do not sell personal information, do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and do not use it for targeted advertising or automated decision-making, there is no separate opt-out mechanism to offer — the rights above and the contact details below are how to reach us about any privacy request, whatever state you are in.
