What this page covers
Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to store. Browsers also offer similar storage such as local storage, which works the same way from a privacy point of view but is not technically a cookie. This page describes both, and says exactly which is which rather than calling everything a cookie.
We keep this to a minimum. On an ordinary page view this website contacts no third party at all: our fonts are served from our own domain, and nothing optional runs until you allow it.
Necessary versus optional
Necessary technology is what the site needs to work and to remember the choice you make. It cannot be switched off, because without it we would have no way to record that you said no and would have to ask on every page.
Optional technology only runs after you allow it. If you reject it, or simply ignore the banner, it never loads and no request is made to the provider. Rejecting optional technology does not limit any content on this site, and our contact forms keep working normally.

Both Google Analytics cookies are described as first party because they are set on the corstar.com domain by script running in your browser, not by a request to a Google domain. The data they carry is still sent to Google.
We use no advertising, retargeting, profiling, or social media tracking technology, so there is nothing of that kind to list.
Analytics
If you allow analytics, we load Google Analytics 4 and it sets the two cookies above. We use it to see which pages people find useful and where they run into dead ends. Until you allow it, the Google Analytics script is never requested — it is not in the page waiting to run, it is added only after you agree.
You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Appointment scheduling
Our consultation page can show a booking calendar provided by Microsoft Bookings. Because it is someone else's service inside our page, loading it lets Microsoft see your request and set its own cookies.
So we do not load it until you ask. Until then the page shows a placeholder with two choices:
- Load Appointment Scheduler loads it for that visit only. This never changes your saved choice — if you had rejected optional technology, you are still rejecting it, and the scheduler will not load by itself next time.
- Review Cookie Settings opens the settings panel, where allowing Appointment scheduling makes it load automatically from then on.

Contact forms
Our contact forms are processed by Web3Forms, which passes your message to us by email. Web3Forms is contacted only at the moment you press Send — filling in or reading a form contacts nobody. The forms set no cookies and work whether or not you allow optional technology. What happens to the information you send is described in our Privacy Policy.
Fonts
The typefaces on this site are served from our own domain rather than from Google Fonts. An ordinary page view therefore makes no request to Google, and no cookie is involved in loading them.
Changing your mind
You can change or withdraw your choice whenever you like:
- Use the Cookie Settings link in the footer of any page, or the button below.
- Turning a category off stops it loading from that point on. If the appointment scheduler is on screen at the time, it is removed immediately.
- Turning analytics off also clears the Google Analytics cookies from this browser. We cannot undo collection that already happened, and we do not claim to.
- You can also clear cookies and site data through your browser's settings, which removes our preference record along with everything else. The banner will then appear again on your next visit.

Updates
If we add anything that stores or transmits information, it gets its own category, is added to the table above, and does not load until you allow it. Changes of that kind reset the consent record, so you will be asked again rather than having a new technology covered by an old answer. The date at the top of this page shows the last revision.
